Welcome to the International Baccalaureate Program at Central High School!
Since 1996, Central High School in Macon, GA has graduated students from the prestigious International Baccalaureate Program. Hundreds of students from the Macon area have challenged themselves academically and artistically with this uniquely rigorous course of study that includes high-level academics as well as required research components, community service aspects, and much more.
The IB program is much more than a class or a series of classes; it is a program devoted to educating the whole student, creating a well-rounded learner who is no longer intimidated by his/her weaknesses. The IB is a model education for the modern student. Graduates of the International Baccalaureate Program will leave with an international worldview, a strong sense of self-accomplishment, and will have a tremendous advantage over other students in the college admission process. Through a partnership with Hutchings College & Career Academy, Central is proud to now offer career pathways through the IB Career-related Program.
